Nino Franco "Faive" Brut Rose 2006 |
|
A pale colored rosé designated as brut, but the fruit concentration and light creaminess make it pleasingly soft. Nuances of chocolate pudding mix on the nose lead to supple strawberry and cherry fruit on the palate. The Faive, like all Nino Franco’s selections, is driven by fresh fruit and balanced acidity, but these elements are augmented by extended skins contact which imparts color, texture, and structure in this bottling. “Faive” is a Venetian term referring to the small gilded red sparks that rise out of a fire and are lightly and freely carried into the sky by the wind. |
