Kracher Burgenland TBA Cuvee "The Mini Bottle" NV |
|
The Kracher Mini is a vibrant yellow-to-gold in color, redolent of honeyed tropical fruit on the nose with candied nectarine and apricot sensations covering the palate. Nuances of caramel and vanilla highlight its lengthy finish, with the entirety of the wine being anchored by a typically Austrian foundation of perfectly balanced acidity. Ultimately the wine offers a luscious impression of lightness and finesse when paired with fruit-based pastries or cheesecake. It also serves as an excellent match for a variety of cheeses (especially sharp blues) but is sheer perfection when served all by itself as dessert. |

| Tech Notes |
| | The Kracher Mini is predominantly a blend of Chardonnay and Welschriesling and was fermented in a combination of stainless steel and new French barriques. This Austrian Trockenbeerenauslese was produced from overripe grapes that were naturally shriveled or affected by noble rot and hand-picked very late in the growing season. No additional sugar was added- what you taste is what came from the vineyard!
Kracher’s brand new 187ml bottling (commonly referred to as a split) was made specifically with parties of two (or fewer) in mind but has been successfully tested after a multi course dinner for four. It’s just enough and not too much- the perfect size to share a glass with a friend or simply to enjoy as a personal treat- there’s never a possibility of feeling badly about wasting what’s left of a normal (375 ml) bottle! Alcohol: 9%. Residual sugar: 164.4 g/l. Acidity: 6.9g/l | |
